Comments On Mar 12, 2013:This type of chain breaker bends links 9 times out of 10. Nothing against this company, just avoid this style of breaker. You will be better served using a breaker that clamps both sides of the chain so you can not seperate/bend links.

Comments On May 12, 2011:We used this chain breaker on several chains and have not had a problem with it. Make sure that when you push a pin out that you have it lined up strait and perpendicular to the chain and you wont have a problem.

Comments On May 10, 2011:This tool would be great, except it bends the link plates every time, no matter how much pressure you put on them (a lot or a little), so it weakens the link because then you have to bend it back. Go with the chain breaker that clamps to both ends of the chain like tusk or motion pro brand.

Comments On Apr 15, 2011:Have been needing this tool for a while and had mixed results in past with ease of use from some designs. This one was a total snap to use and came with an extra replacement pin. I bought an extra pin as a replacement as a precaution but might not need to replace for a long time.

Comments On Mar 09, 2008:If the pit on the breaker had not broke on first use I would have rated it higher. It did come with a replacement tip, which worked like a champ.

Comments On Nov 16, 2007:Before I had this I always had to use several tools including grinders and hammers. It took about an hour of being very careful not to get grindings everywhere. Now all I need is this tool and a pair of pliers to put the clip on, no mess, and it takes about 15 min!
