not waterproof - not even close

Comments On Sep 14, 2012:I wore these pants in the rain only once and was soaked through multiple places - the panels on the legs are not waterproof, not even close. they soaked through in less than a minute. it was so bad it was almost like the fabric was not treated at all. the second place I was soaked through was the groin and through two layers of clothing on a 30 minute ride in the rain. the seams are taped but i suspect the tape did not bond properly or came apart when the pants were put into their storage pouch.
the fit was good and they are reasonably light, but they are not waterproof and pointless to own, let alone carry in my bag.

great to pack along

Comments On Aug 16, 2011:These are great to put in your pack when you suspect you might get wet. Zippered leg lets you pull over your boots on the trail. 100% water proof.
