Look Very Cool

ARTHUR R in TX

Comments On Feb 28, 2011:Mounted on my Yamaha Raptor 660, they look really good! But the price is kinda steep. So, are they worth it? Considering they replaced the handlebar clamp, the stock console, and added a chromed set of lights along with the billet mount--and look great--I'd have to say, read on...
The only negative is that one of the bulbs already burned out after only about 5 hours use. RM sells replacements for about $7 each. Buy a couple now when ordering this item. And don't expect them to light up your life cuz they've got a small reflector and mine only had the 35 watt bulbs. They're good for lighting up things like low tree branches and maybe baling wire. If just for saving your neck, they're worth it!

Brighter Than Factory

JOEL in CA

Comments On Nov 15, 2010:Like the title says, but considering the high price, I think the kit should include a harness or connector to match up to the factory plug as a "plug and play" assembly. It would be even better to have a "pigtail" harness for an option of running both this AND the factory headlamps together. Just my opinion.

Good except for mounting

KEVIN in AZ

Comments On Oct 04, 2010:I love the handlebar mounted lighting, but the rubber mounts are much too soft and end up either pushing out when trying to tighten or allow too much movement in the headlight causing the lights to turn sideways. I would recommend using a solid mount rather than the rubber mounted setup.

Do Not Fit Over Sized (1 1/8") Bar Clamps

Bryce in NV

Comments On Jul 01, 2010:I ordered these thinking they would work with either size bars since the description didn't mention anything about size. I suppose it is my fault for not looking into it, but it should really be in the description. The bracket is made for a 7/8" clamp, not over sized 1 1/8" bar clamps. I ended up drilling new holes in the mounting bracket to get it to mount up with my over sized clamps. I also had to extend the wires myself to get them to reach to the stock connector. It might be because I have a +2" stem, but I feel like they would still be short with a stock stem. Another thing I wasn't to impressed with was the light positioning hardware. I've tightened them up as much as I can but I feel like a rough trail or some jumping will knock them out of alignment. The housings also get pretty hot. Not really a big deal, but I feel it's worth noting. They should make for nice hand warmers in the winter.
Aside from that, the lights are much brighter and a nice upgrade from stock lights.
