Comments On Oct 22, 2012:These Honda's require a special thinner socket to ge spark plug out!! This one fits perfect. Quality socket at a good price from rockyMountainMC

Comments On Aug 07, 2012:This is a nice tool, but it's about a half inch too long to be useful for the XR400. You can loosen the spark plug, but you can't remove the socket from space between the frame and the cylinder head with the spark plug more than a half turn from tight.
Sounds like the OEM is the way to go for the XR400.

Comments On May 25, 2011:I had to remove the rubber insert to make it work reliably, was impossible otherwise. Would be better if it was about 1/4 inch shorter but good quality.

Comments On Nov 12, 2010:this would be a 5 star product if it were not for the price but this is what you need for some of the older Honda 4 strokes. OH well better to have the right tools to do the job than the wrong ones as grandpa used to say...

Comments On Nov 18, 2007: If you ever tried to remove the spark plug on an XR400 you know its a pain. This Spark plug socket makes it a snap mainly because of the extreme depth of the spark plug into the head. Highly recommended.
