Comments On May 07, 2013:I ordered the primary drive chain n sprockets as a kit for my raptor 660 sprockets fit perfect, but the chain not so much!!! My stock chain is 2 links longer than the one i received went with stock tooth sizes and all and the primary drive chain is still to short! Was going to send back to for a longer chain but figured i would just take to my local yamaha shop and have them add a couple links to make it work!!! Sucks when you order something that's supposed to be correct and its not!

Comments On Apr 05, 2013:Bought a 520/110 link Chain and installed it correctly on my wr250x. Chain seemed a little wider then my stock 520, little sloppy. After a total of 80km the masterlink failed no major damage to bike, but not impressed. The masterlink seemed to be made out of the same stuff as paperclips, it had no spring at all. You get what you pay for, lesson learned.

Comments On Mar 03, 2013:i bought the primary drive chain and sprockets they seem good for the price but the only reason i gave it 3 stars is because if you dont know and are going from oem chain on a crf450x which is a narrower o ring chain to this it will make a nice groove on your crank case like mine. luckily i caught it before it made a hole and the fix is that you have to buy a 1mm space that goes in between the drive sprocket

Comments On Feb 24, 2013:good solid chain.. never had any breaks or problems.... I ride in a lot of creek crossings and deep funky mud holes.. but I lube chain before every good ride and after every wash down and got over 2 yrs ride before it was wore out.. and replaced with the same

Comments On Feb 23, 2013:I have used many primary drive chains and sprockets on my dirt bikes and have had great results. The price is very low and the chains last as long as the higher priced chains or longer, why pay more. 450 proven offroad, ride a lot every month of the year.

Comments On Feb 15, 2013:This chain is super heavy and really wide. right out of the box it was stiff and the links never loosed up with riding time. I would spend the extra 15 bucks and get a better chain.

Comments On Feb 16, 2013:Just as good as the name brand chains. Here in florida we have allot of sand and chains and sprockets dont last very long. This chain has gone through 3 aluminum sprockets! Save money and ride more!

Comments On Dec 29, 2012:This chain will not impress everyone out the races or your friends you go riding with. But who cares it's a chain. After 10 long hard rides I have had to adjust it once. That's to be expected with all chains. Well worth your dollars. 100% satisfied.

Comments On Dec 03, 2012:installed on my supermoto. held good for about 3 months. Coming out of a corner one day and I throw the chain. It wadded up in front of my sprocket and blew the case half. After inspecting the chain, I noticed that it literally broke, and nowhere near the master link.....bad bad bad!!!!

Comments On Nov 21, 2012:I bought this for my VFR and have run about 10K to 12K miles in 18 months. It has held up well to daily commuting on the highway but will need changed out soon. Overall I cannot complain about performance. I use PD chains and sprockets for all the horses in our stable and they hold up well on the street and track, pavement and dirt. Keep them clean, lubed, and adjusted and it will last just as well as other higher dollar products.

Comments On Oct 02, 2012:Installed this chain chain a little tight knowing it would stretch a bit. It's worked great and everyone's been asking what it was because it's so thick and heavy looking. Three races and it's perfect, with no adjustments

Comments On Sep 28, 2012:Great chain and great price. The hollow inner links make the chain lighter and it cleans out easier. Make sure you check the tensile strength requirements before you but this chain. I used it on my 2001 400ex and it holds up great. I wouldn't use it on anything over 400cc's. I would use it on anything under 401cc's.

Comments On Jun 17, 2012:Ran this chain only about 15 hours and it broke. One side of a link broke and if I had rode it any longer, I would've snapped the chain. I guess I got a bad chain or something but I will give it another shot.

Comments On Sep 25, 2011:iv had this chain on my yz250f for about 2 months, maybe 20 hours on it. it has a few stiff links and has stretched a good bit already, i lube it before every ride. for the price you cant expect too much but i was hoping for more. not a bad buy but its not excellent

Comments On Aug 18, 2011:Chain was not good quality. it was too wide for my yz125 and it hit the cases. I then installed it on my 450 and the chain snapped. Save your money and buy an RK instead.

Comments On Aug 20, 2011:Had a problem with this chain. I am not sure if it was a manufacture defect or operator error, but one short section of this chain ended up stretching way more than the rest of the chain. This drove me to distraction trying to get my tension set because I would set it correctly and then take a ride and the chain would be very tight. Every time the section would wrap around the rear sprocket, it would take out the slack caused by the stretched section and tighten the whole chain up (took me way too long to figure this out). I am not sure how much damage I have done to the rest of the bike.
Additional Comments On Aug 29, 2011:btw RMATV rating on this is, as always, a 5. Full refund and a call. Best customer service ever.

Comments On Aug 28, 2011:I LOVE primary drive chains and sprockets. I bought this chain to use on my KTM450sx. After 2 rides it stretched just a bit, I adjusted it and it hasn't budged since!!! When I sold my ktm I took this chain off and put it on my CR500. It still hasn't stretched at all since the first time I adjusted it on the ktm!!! I've been riding on this chain for 2 1/2 years and it still looks great. If a CR500 won't stretch it, nothing else will lol. I'll never waste money on a more expensive brand chain or sprockets. I may try the Primary drive x-ring chain next time. Very happy with my purchase. You buy it, adjust it after 2 rides, and never touch it again.

Comments On Jun 20, 2011:We used vices to get it on in the first place (master link). Then the stupid thing fell off and wrecked the case saver. It took a 30yr mechanic two big hammers and some wooden boards to make sure it didnt happen again. Probably wont buy again.
TECH NOTE: THE EASIEST WAY TO INSTALL A MASTER LINK IS WITH A CHAIN PRESS TOOL

Comments On May 16, 2011:I've only had this chain on for a few weeks now but I'm really impressed. I love the holes in the sides of the inner links to allow mud to be pushed out. It been really wet around here lately and the chain is easy to clean and maintain it because of this feature.

Comments On May 01, 2011:Bought as a set with the primary drive front/rear sprockets. Chain has been holding up for more than one season on a 2002 yz 250F. (approx. 16-22 rides, at 2 hrs/ride). Extremely pleased with durability. The sprockets were AMAZING as well. The rear sprocket has barely any noticeable wear which is incredible. Chain is just now starting to kink and look at little beat up. Would absolutely buy again for my 250F. C/B rider. Motocross/Supercross tracks only.

Comments On Apr 23, 2011:Purchased this along with a new front and rear sprocket set. I am a thrifty (cheap) buyer who wants the most for his money. Racing on a budget means parts that function well without the added expense of anything fancy. This chain is holding up great. Minimal stretch and I like that the side plates have holes in them too help mud extraction. I bought the plain O-ring version. Take care of it and it should last.

Comments On Mar 15, 2011:I had this on my old 2004 KX250 and the chain was solid up until the time I sold it a year ago. The chain needed one adjustment and did not stretch much on the 8+ rides I had on it. I like the price and the quality of the product.

Comments On Mar 03, 2011:I have been using this chain for about a year now and it seems to be holding up well. One thing I did and still do notice about the chain, though, is that it seems a little stiff. It still goes just fine, but it doesn't seem to flex up and down on the rollers as much as other chains I have used. I'm not certain I will buy this chain again just for that reason.

Comments On Feb 18, 2011:I like my DID chain much better. Way less adjustment. This is just an average chain.

Comments On Feb 12, 2011:This chain is great and I have no complaints. The master link can be difficult to attach and I broke the master link keeper during install and had to use the old one.It is well worth it to purchase the chain breaker/installer and it saves having to reorder a master link replacement.KEEP THIS CHAIN LUBRICATED MINE LASTED 3 YEARS AND HAD I NOT HAD TO REPLACE MY FRONT SPROCKET I WOULD STILL BE USING THE VERY SAME CHAIN

Comments On Dec 29, 2010:Bought this chain to go on my XR650R and have another set waiting to go on my KTM 250XC (currently already has PD sprokets).
So far, I have done 1200 km of rocky, gnarly, muddy, dirty, and technical trails and roads. Absolutely no issues with kinks or excessive "stretching". In fact after the first 450km ride over a two mountain passes I have yet to adjust it again. Lets face it, every chain breaks in and requires adjustment both when new and on it's last legs. I've run a lot of name brand chains on everything from small 2-stroke dirt bikes, to big bore 4's, and liter super sports and I've noticed nothing abnormal with this specific PD chain.
I'm so confident in Primary Drive products that I will be running this exact chain an additional ~4000km's in February when some buddies and I will be riding Baja to Cabo San Lucas and back to the AZ border. The bike is equipped with PD sprokets both front and rear, and this chain with 1200kms on the set already. None of which are showing any signs of wear.
As a side note, I have run PD sprokets for years on dirt bikes in the gnarliest of terrain and will never try another brand.
That being said, I also don't lube my chains very often. I'm a believer a clean chain is a healthy chain. Lube often attracts the very stuff that wears a chain.

Comments On Jan 03, 2011:Put the chain on and went to the dunes. Ran 2 and 1/2 days full tilt with paddles on a modified YFZR and had little to no stretch. I weight 220 lbs. So as far as I can tell so far the chain is solid. Love the price so long as it holds up for a year or so... I may try one of their rear sprockets as well hoping the quality will be the same.

Comments On Dec 18, 2010:GREAT CHAIN...REALLY GOOD PRICE. VERY LITTLE STRETCHING AT BREAK IN. PRETTY MUCH A ONE CHAIN ONE SEASON ITEM FOR AVERAGE RIDERS. THIS IS ALL WE USE KNOW!!!

Comments On Dec 14, 2010:The chain only stretches on the first few rides than needs very little adjustment after that. For most riders it will last for a whole season. It does look kinked up after a few rides.

Comments On Nov 29, 2010:this chain kicks butt. I have had zero problems with this chain. No stretching and looks/feels strong.

Comments On Nov 20, 2010:Why buy an expensive chain? Primary Drive has hit a home run with this chain. Inexpensive, strong, and holds up excellent. I'm running this on my DR350 with P.D sprockets and I am one Happy Camper. My old chain constantly stretched and had to be adjusted. I've had to adjust this one twice in a years worth of on and off road riding.

Comments On Oct 25, 2010:Purchased the chain to replace the stock chain on my brand new 2010 Yamaha YZ450F. Sure glad I did, lasted me this entire riding season! Stock chain would have lasted a month if I was lucky. This is a great quality chain at a great price. I highly recommend this product for any rider either mx or woods.
