Comments On Apr 26, 2013:I am overall pleased with a set of these on my XR650L. At first they looked funny: tiny compared to the usual knobby DS tires (Kenda K270s and Trakmasters) I was using.
They grip well, both front and back. The ride on the street is comfortable. The narrow front tire makes the steering quick and precise; when it arrived, it was flat: folded down the middle and looked real cheap. I run them DS with 17-18 psi offroad because of the soft/thinner carcass and onroad with 22 psi. At 70mph they are smooth; and on fireroads at 45mph they are equally smooth.
So far I have about 300 miles; from the looks of the knobs I think I'll get another 300 good miles out of it and then be able to run it another 300 to bald. So, wear is only really good for 500-600 on the 310-lb bike.
I will probably go back to a harder/broader knobby DS for my next tire to suit the wear for my commute, which is 80% road.

Comments On Jul 28, 2012:I put these tires on my 1971 Honda trail 90, as a close-to-factory match. They look nice, fit properly and provide excellent traction on the trails. They are DOT tires which is a plus to use on a larger dual sport bike. They ride smooth and quiet on pavement yet have a lot of edges to hook up off road. The rubber compound is soft and will bend and flex over hard objects, like rocks. I'm happy with the tires and would buy them again.

Comments On Jun 21, 2012:I was concerned that this wouldn't perform like a "real" trials tire. The shape is rounded like a street only tire, and the height is like a standard MX tire. However, I've been impressed by its performance. One year of ocassional riding on mixed terrain, and they look almost new. They grab quite well to a point, up until they skid or spin, then they are slightly less predictable than a knobby tire. Work great in moist to dry conditions, not optimal for mud or sand.

Comments On Jun 11, 2011:I have about 5 rides on this in 5 different conditions and i will not be buying another knobby ever. I see no reason, this tire gets me up everything, a little less sticky than the Dunlop but half the price.
