Comments On Apr 18, 2013:KTM's are known for their notchy shifting, I also run an rekluse that squeals like a mother... I have tried everything out there with no difference... until now... shifting is noticeably better and the squeal is gone... WOW... amazing!

smooth shifting

Comments On Jun 21, 2012:I have tried many types of oils in various 2 stroke ATVs and motorcycles. Maxima MTL consistently shifts the smoothest. Clutch actuation stays easy without slipping, even when hot. Color is golden-- I prefer red for transmission oil, but that is nit-picking. The only thing keeping it from receiving 5 stars for me is the packaging. The bottles take up more shelf space than necessary, do not have measurement markings, and the mouth of the bottles do not accept my screw on spout like all the other brands containers do.

Comments On Aug 07, 2011:I've run this on my smoker since I bought it in 99. Tranny has never had a hitch and surprisingly I'm still on the stock clutch. I think that's all you can ask for.

Great Shifting Characteristics

Comments On May 14, 2010:I've used Maxima MTL, Silkolene, and Bel Ray Gear Saver. The maxima provided better shifitng characteristics in both my 2005 and 2006 YZ250 2-strokes. The others performed very well, but the maxima is slighly less expensive.

Sticky or sluggish shifting ?

Comments On Oct 22, 2007:This is the only transmission oil that I have found that actually noticeably provides smoother shifting than the 85 wt. recommended by my bikes manufacturer.Very impressive. Like previous Maxima products I've used, it tends to be a little expensive but the excellent results justify the price. Doug Benton
