Don't use on a 2-stroke

Comments On Feb 24, 2013:I found out the hard way that you don't use a screen type spark arrestor on a 2-stroke. They get clogged up and choke off the engine. You're better off to spend another $50 get a complete spark arrestor / silencer like an FMF TurbineCore. The TurbineCore doesn't use a screen to arrest sparks so they don't get clogged.

Look trick

Comments On Dec 21, 2012:They fit great on my 2013 CRF450R and come with good directions although you better plan on an hour to do it and you will probably ruin the stock end caps getting them out. Look trick and are definitely louder than the stock pipes without the sparkys and about the same with them on.

Good product

Comments On Dec 14, 2012:Needed a sparky for the KTM so ordered the end cap vice a twice as expensive muffler. Fitment is right on. Instructions are not complete in that you have to pre-drill a pilot hole in order to get the blunt tipped self tapping threads to work.

Comments On Apr 17, 2012:2012 Honda CRF250R Install time is a bit longer that you might expect, but the finished product looks great. The stock Honda muffler is pretty quiet so there's a $200 savings over, say, an FMF Q4.

Best Way To Go

Comments On Mar 19, 2012:Only affordable way to put a spark arrestor on a KTM 505. It does have a forest service approval stamp, doesn't hurt power or reduce sound. All off road bikes should have arrestor.

Best deal going to quiet your bike down

Comments On May 15, 2011:I have the spark arrestor on my RMZ250 and it meets 96db limit for racing hare scrambles. My buddy has one with the extra insert to quiet it down even further on his CRF450. His 450 is even quieter than my 250. He blows 94db. Great product.

Comments On Jul 19, 2010:This product is a life saver. Arizona loves to make new laws to prevent us from riding in the desert. I installed this on my 07 kx450f. Its a easy install and the sparky can be removed in seconds for track use.

Great Product!

Comments On Aug 04, 2009:The End Cap looks great overall, and the spark arrestor makes you feel much better when riding through dry areas. Installation was pretty straight forward, not too hard, but a little time-consuming. It is a great end cap, well worth the price!

Be careful with the endcap bolts.

Comments On Feb 15, 2009:Semi easy to install, pulling the stock stuff apart is the only hard part. Be careful with end cap bolts. Aluminum end cap easy to strip. I stripped one and had to re-tap to 1/4- 20 thread. Great product overall.
