Comments On May 07, 2013:well they may make the bike a little fancy, but i dont mind. if they save my hands from anymore spikes, branches, rocks i will be more than happy. glad i got the D-Flex with the shields. just a little more insurance.

Comments On Dec 02, 2012:I think these things may be cursed, both pair I bought were tested the first day. They survived a flip on a YZ85 with just scratches (no crease) even though the renthal bars bent. The next rollover really put them to the test!! My TRX700 rolled hared enough to rotate the aluminum barkbuster inside the bar. NO BENDS OR CREASES!! This was a big roll maybe more than one (I was knocked out even with a helmet on) so I am a HUGE fan.

Comments On Oct 27, 2012:I ordered these in a pkg with the aluminum guards. Plastic and metal winds together to create a very solid piece. I installed these on my kid's kx65 and we didn't have to 'rig' anything. No problems with the shorter handle bar width.

Comments On Jun 29, 2011:Bought a pair of these for my son's bike while I'm teaching him to ride. Already saved his clutch handle a couple times ;-) Installation was easy, good materials, well engineered. Like em so much, I bought some for my bike to keep the brush from banging my knuckles on the trail. Definitely recommended.

Comments On Dec 04, 2009:Unless you like cactus tines or bush thorns in your nuckels you need handguards on you bike. These have worked great; especially on single track. I've had the bike over a few times and the handguards are still going strong; have had them on for nearly 2 years.

Sturdy, good wind deflection

Comments On Oct 24, 2007:Both myself (Yamaha XTZ750) and a friend (Kawasaki KLR650) needed to bend these guards considerably to make them fit the bends on our handlebars. He used a gutter grid to hold it in place for bending, I lowered a car onto it for an even, reproducible bend, but in any case it requires considerable strength/force. Once they are on, though, they work as well as anything I've tried before.
Additional Comments On Oct 24, 2007:Sorry, the above is for the aluminum bars that fit the plastic shields. The shield themselves are inexpensive, yet sturdy, and they do quite well deflect the wind from the hands.

best brush guards ever

Comments On Oct 23, 2007:i have broken many popular brands on there first real impact, but not these. After a solid impact with a tree the clamp cracked, i called rocky mt. and told them and they sent me a new on at no charge! These guards are solid and do there job protecting bot hands and controls. The plastic covers are durable and just the right size. Installation note; dont overtighten throttle side bar insert as it will cause the handlebar to expand and cause the throttle to spring back slower than nornal.
