Good basic control lever

Comments On Mar 29, 2013:This is a good basic control lever. Fits the bike fine and haven't had any problems. Any lever could bend or break with a crash, so I don't expect it to last forever, but it is a good value for the price and I will probably buy this item again in the future. A satisfied customer.

Good for the money, but brittle

Comments On Jun 04, 2012:Replaced bent stock lever after 1 1/2 years of riding. Lever looks good and fits well, but is very brittle. I do a lot of hill climbing and have broke 3 of these levers. None of which was a hard hit. All 3 were tip overs that I expected to cause no damage. If you have guards, or never tip over, these are a good choice. If you bend your levers much, I'd recommend spending a bit more money to get a tougher lever.

Comments On Oct 31, 2011:I've never had a more Brittle / Fragile lever, Ever.
Looking at the metal quality of the stocker vs. the Tusk lever, you can see a huge difference in metal density. The dimentions are the same, but the stocker weighs twice as much. The stocker lasted 2 years. The Tusk lasted 5 minutes, and just snapped on a tiny tip-over.
Buy a stock one, or better brand. You'll thank me.

Comments On Apr 15, 2011:If you are crash prone, buy 2-3 since the price is a steal! Great looks and bolts right on w/o any hassle. My son crashed within 10 minutes of installing the first lever and broke it off. Adjusted it loose and this has solved the breakage for normal slow speed crashing. Get Hot!

Comments On Apr 15, 2010:2008 YZ250F. Bought the bike new, but broke OEM brake lever soon after purchase (that's MX for you). Bought an aftermarket lever (won't drag their name through the mud here) and immediately had trouble with front brake dragging..... then heating up until jammed. Thought brake was damaged from initial fall. Had caliper off countless times trying to fix. Eventualy noticed the aftermarket lever was depressing the brake ever so slightly. The tolerances must be off on that lever. Replaced it with a TUSK brake lever and problem is gone, gone, gone. I could kiss those guys at Tusk !!

Comments On Feb 02, 2010:If you're out riding and bend or brake your lever and need a quick replacement, this certainly does the job. It's cheap and small so it can be kept in your tool box. Strickly in terms of quality, however, you get what you pay for.

Tusk Levers for LTR450

Comments On Dec 03, 2009:When I bought my bike, it had the stock levers on it. The clutch and front brake levers were worn and slopped around a lot when riding. I examined these Tusk levers before I instlled them.....they were just as well made as the factory Suzuki ones!! Almost a year later and they still work perfect!!

Comments On Nov 13, 2009:And stay away from the clutch lever tusk offers also im no pro rider but im no novice either i race a budds all the time and i fall occasionally but every time ive fallen with these levers on my 05yz125 dey snap EVERYTIME both levers the black rubber grips are cool as crap but the lever itself is cheap you get wat u pay for ive replaced these two times now if u dnt fall den gr8 get em but my next ones will be ASVs
