Greasy on hot days, slippery in the wet

Comments On Mar 02, 2011:Because of a screaming deal, I bought 3 of these tires in 190/50ZR17 for my BMW K1200S. I do like the fronts, however.
On the local mountain, I found myself unexpectedly doing tail-out slides as the day warmed up (still double digits). Until then, wearing the peg feelers was easy to do on these.
In the wet, this tire breaks free relatively easily when on the gas. When it comes back it does so in fits and jerks rather than smoothly.
The Michelin Pilot Road and Metzeler Z6, in comparison, don't exhibit these behaviours and stick much better in the wet.
For most riding, including my 30 mile, highly exciting route to work, it's a decent tire.
For extended aggressive riding or wet weather riding, look for a different tire.
