Awesome tyre ...for DRY road not so good in WET

Comments On Mar 08, 2013:I am on my 5th set of these BT-003RS on my last 2 bikes (K8 GSX-R-1000 now gone) and my 2012 Kawasaki ZX10R.
I find the confidence they inspire in the DRY as AMAZING... But God help you if you carry that confidence to the WET. In the wet they are quite slippery. You could cal it predictable slip as they will slip at the slightest provocation.
As I am essentially a dry weather rider and weekend thrasher the WET side has not been and issue and pales to insignificance because in the DRY they are just so GREAT.
The Bridgestone Website shows a Usage chart on these and shows were they sit in the ROAD/TRACK/DRY/WET against the BT016 and RACE BT003 which is pretty spot on. http://www.bridgestone.com/products/motorcycle_tires/products/battlax/images/img_battlax_05.gif
Doing just Mountain runs with NO commuting I get around 4,000KM's out of a set.
I'm going to keep buying these till they stop making them I think.

Comments On Jul 11, 2012:I installed a Bridgestone Bt003 190/55/17 on my BMW S1000rr. This tire will not last you very long 1200 miles and it's gone on street riding. This tire was made to be a track tire. Very sticky and gives good confidence. I would not purchase the tire for street use again but I definitely will buy it for track use. Super super good tire. Buy this tire for track use and you wont be disappointed. Good B/C tire on track and maybe and A session.

Great intermediate level tyre

Comments On Apr 18, 2011:Great track tyre. Progressive feel - slides were predictable and controlable. Good even wear and grip.
Note: They can cool quickly if you get stuck at the dummy-grid for a while after using tyre warmers, so give them time to heat up again.

Great Tires in the DC area

Comments On Feb 22, 2011:Great tires, As soon as I put these tires on my 05 ZX10, I gained more confidence in the corners and in a straight line. I got caught in the rain a few times, but the traction was still there. Will buy another set in 2011...
