An inexpensive, decently-performin long-lived tire

Comments On Sep 12, 2012:I put the Shinko Verge on the front of my 2001 Kawasaki Concours. From day 1, I had no complaints. Tire performed as it ought to perform. No slipping, no OMG moments. It stuck to the road (with my moderately conservative riding style) and was perfect for me. I figure, if it wore down quickly, it would still be worth it at the price point.
Last night after I got home, I started wondering if it was time to replace. Couldn't remember when I'd put it on, but it certainly couldn't have been THAT long. Checked my records....Over 16,000 miles. I'm over 300 lbs. and to have a tire last that long is fantastic. I'll be getting another one to put on very soon.

Comments On Aug 03, 2012:My commute is 72 miles one way mostly straight. The handling is good and the tread life is very good so far
