Great buy

Alan in UT – Machine this part was bought for: 2003 HONDA CR125R

Comments On May 19, 2013:This is a little heavier then the aluminum one that was on the bike but hopefully I wont strip teeth on this one. I have went out four times since I installed and so far every thong is good. Lets see next year how it looks.

ok for smaller bikes like a 230 but bigger beware

colleen in NL

Comments On Apr 04, 2013:was kind of suspicious when i saw the second holes drilled for a ttr but figured since its steel it would have good ware characteristics but at the rate its going its warring down faster then the aluminium sprocket i had before and the chain is not too tight! i got to say i love rocky mountain and shopping here but this product for the first time I'm disappointed probably what i get for cheeping out, even thought steels was sposed to last longer

great product, cheap price!

Robert in NY

Comments On Apr 01, 2013:just as good as any sunstar, jt and vortex steel sprocket. Reminds me of the standard honda steel stamped sprocket. Replace the chain when changing the sprockets and you will have a long lasting drive train.

Awesome sprocket!

DAVID in CA

Comments On Mar 29, 2013:These Primary Drive steel sprockets fit great and hold up for a long time before showing wear. They are a great value for the price and I don't see any reason to use another brand. I could spend more on lightweight or self-cleaning sprockets but I regularly clean and take care of my equipment, and these sprockets have never given me any trouble. Thank you Primary Drive! Great stuff :)

Can't beat a Primary Drive steel sprocket

Brandon in MO – Machine this part was bought for: 2001 YAMAHA YZ250F

Comments On Mar 13, 2013:I have to say I have been very impressed with the quality out of Primary Drive. They have taken a beating though the rocks, mud, and grit of Southwest Missouri. This is my second pair and had about 1 1/2 years on my last set, riding at least 2-3 times a month.

Strong teeth..

Danny in MO – Machine this part was bought for: 1987 YAMAHA WARRIOR 350

Comments On Feb 02, 2013:Like I said in my front sprocket review. You just can't beat the fit, quality and strength of this product. Oh yeah the price being the cheapest I have found may be the best attribute of this sprocket. 4 years of use combined with Primary Drive's front sprocket and still going strong. Give it a try you might just never buy another brand sprocket again. Tough said.

Rear Sprocket for my Yamaha YZ450

Mike in CA

Comments On Oct 22, 2012:This sprocket has lasted me almost ONE Year. That is good!! I race almost every weekend. I take good care of bike and components. Sprocket was a great deal, and lighter than other steel sprockets. ONE IMPORTANT NOTE!! Front and rear sprockets are a great deal from RockyMountain MC, IF I had bought a high quality chain I know they would have lasted longer. THe chain that came with it was ok, more suited for lower HP applications not a 450 MX bike.

Primary Drive Chains and Sprockets

Reinhard in TX

Comments On Oct 03, 2012:My Son has now been riding for about 6 Years, we started off on a Trailbike, went to 2 Strokes and now he is riding a KX250F, and on all the bikes we owned so far (5) we have used nothing but Primary Drive Chains and Sprockets when it was time to replace the OEM. No Complaints what so ever, my Son is pretty hard on it, it is a very good product at a reasonable Price.

OK, but not great

Jeramy in VA

Comments On Jul 20, 2012:In its defense, I did not use a higher quality O or W ring chain when I put this on. The teeth have worn and bent over a little, but I think that was more chain that actual product quality. Overall, I would give these another try, but would spend the extra cash i save on a better chain.

52-tooth on 2007 KTM 300

Bob in NC

Comments On Jul 21, 2012:Tough as nails. I run probably twenty or so hare scrambles a year plus a few oddball races here and there plus lots of practice in-between, and don't baby my stuff...in fact I probably don't take very good care of it at all.... and I'll go through -maybe- two of these rear sprockets a year. Incredible value

Comments On Jul 19, 2012:These things never wear out. They're a little heavy, like all steel sprockets. I've gotten really good life out of Rocky Mtn's aluminum sprockets, so I've been running those for quite a while instead. Happy with both.
