Tried OEM but prefer Belray

Comments On Sep 04, 2012:YZ250F, YZ450F and KX450F. Tried the expensive Yamaha S1 oil. Riders could not tell the difference when we switched to Belray for half the price. I also find the blueish color of Belray easier to judge degredation on than clear S1.

Noticeable Improvement

Comments On Apr 06, 2012:I got a leaky seal, about a year after I had my suspension done. I did it myself with Pro-X seals and new Bel-Ray fork oil. Even tho the old oil was only a year old, they worked and felt way better with new oil. I've been a Bel-Ray guy for many years, so naturally I bought their fork oil. Very happy!

New Bottle is Nice!

Comments On Feb 13, 2012:Used 5W oil in in forks. Very plush action for desert riding. Everyone who rides my bike loves the suspension. Used with Race Tech seals. Only complaint is both times I've ordered it the bottle has leaked during shipping.

Good for my 2006 YZ250

Comments On Jul 11, 2011:I used this oil 7wt when I replaced the seals in my 2006 YZ250. Forks felt better adjusted them a little after that and they are the best they have ever been. I went a little heavier oil 7wt due to my weight is 240 pounds. FYI it took a little over one bottle of this stuff.

Comments On Feb 29, 2008:I resently bought some fork oil and seals, to have the local suspension shop put on. They put on the seals but they refused to use the oil saying that it is very low quality.
That is nothing bad on rocky mountain atv, they have great service and excellent deals, but as far as i know the bel-ray isnt good.
TECH NOTES - Never once had a problem with the Bel-Ray fork oils.
Additional Comments On Mar 06, 2008:The review above is based on the opinion of a local suspension guy. I my self have never used the bel-ray product, but have heard good things about it. I wrote the review above having no knowledge of the product but off the opinion of another, I apologize for for not making that clear. Props to RM/atv.

Comments On Oct 22, 2007:This product seems to give consistent performance from beginning to the end of the ride (bashing through technical trails like 5MOH in Utah, not MX). Of all the forks I've had I've used this oil brand in most; I've never found any wear to speak of when I disassemble the forks for oil change (1/yr.) Good price.
