This is the installation video for the Tusk SubZero plow mount on the Yamaha Kodiak.

Having the proper tools and some assistance will make this job easier. For this video, we've stood the machine on-end so you can see what we're doing underneath. You need to safely support the machine in order to gain access to the undercarriage for installation.

The first part is just to remove the stock plastic skid plate. We do that with a 10-millimeter socket, and just remove those 8 bolts that hold on that stock skid plate. Once you've got those bolts out, that skid plate should just come right off.

Part 2 is the installation of the plow mount. On this machine, the plow mount clamps ride on top of the floorboard braces. In order to allow the clamp to sit on top of that brace, we had to remove the bolts that are holding the floorboard down against those braces. That allowed us to install the plow mount clamps. Right here, we're removing those 4 bolts. Once you get those out, just use a pry bar. Pry that floorboard up while you slide that clamp on top of it. We're going to go ahead and do the same thing on the other side. Just use that pry bar to pry that floorboard up a little bit, just enough to get that clamp on top.

Now is a great time to grab a buddy. Have them hold that up while you get a few threads on each bolt started. After you get the bolts started, now is a great time to check your alignment on your frame. Make sure the plow mount is sitting straight with the frame rails, and if so, go ahead and tighten up the bolts. Make sure that you're tightening the bolts so that it pulls the clamps evenly towards the plow mount. Once you've got those tight, we are going to reinstall the 4 bolts to hold down the floorboards. That's it.

Double-check and make sure all your hardware is tight. Enjoy your Tusk SubZero Snow Plow.
