I've worn out 4 or 5 of these on the front of my XT600. I ride about 50% pavement and 50% gravel or very hard dirt. They only last a couple thousand miles but is worth it to me having aggressive knobs on gravel/dirt. Might not work great on big "adventure" street bikes but I like it for dry hard terrian on my old Yamaha. I stay home when it rains so not at all concerned about mud performance.

Iv'e got about 3k miles out of this, (which I consider good) it has good traction in the gravel, as well as the road, buit they howl on the road! Good tire, I'm going to try the Dunlop 606 next, and hope for less raod vibration.

I love this tire for the BMW R1150GS. I always look at the other alternatives when it's time to replace another set, and I always go back to the Tourance. They get me where I want to go within reason, and I'm getting 12-15K out of a rear tire and 20k+ out of a front
