  GPS fell out

  Bought this for prerunning in Baja with an etrex 20. The second day of riding, the GPS poped out of the mount and once I noticed and backtracked to find it, it was too late. It got run over by a truck also prerunning and my GPS is now ruined.

  Good mount, but breaks

  This is the best mount I've found to position my Garmin handlheld where I wanted it on my dirt bikes. Mounted on the upper triple clamp bolts on my KTMs. Works great until a get off on the same side as the mount. I've broken six of these over the years. Wish it were a billet piece rather than pot metal, maybe it would last longer. I still keep buying more because I like the position it gives rather than the u bolt handle bar mount.

  Ram Mounts Ram Modular Moto Base with Double Ball

  Good but...

  A nice mounting option for those of us that are running out of room in the cockpit. Only improvement I can see is that it comes with the RAM setup for replacing your clutch/brake mount but not a U-bolt mount. This mount won't work on my KTM's front brake assembly since it must be mounted horizontally and there isn't clearance for the reservoir. On my XR400 this wouldn't be an issue since the bolt pattern is vertical. Fortunately I had an extra U-bolt set from another RAM mount so I was able to place this mount next to my front brake assembly.
