    Nice Glove Liner ... +++

    Heated grips are nice, but when the rides get colder these liners will add the heat you need to the top of your hands and thumbs. As with all liners, they are not expected to work alone, but as a supplement your gloves and heated grips. I really dislike the cold and you will catch me using the heated seats in my car year around ;-). I was worried to ride a motorcycle in cold temps because I like my creature comforts. Last weekend I rode in temps as cold as 34 degrees Fahrenheit and these liners kept my hands cozy when used in combination with the Firstgear Heated Jacket and Firstgear Troller. As a liner to a good glove they are perfect.

    Easy to hook-up, mount and use - ahhhhh

    I'm dislike the cold and have been known to use the heated seats on in my car nearly every month of the year. Recently, I planned an 800 mile motorcycle adventure touring trip to Jackson, WY only to find the weather on the cold and wet side. Off to RMATV to quickly order some "heated gear" and WOW! I couldn't be happier! I bought the Firstgear heated jacket, Firstgear portable heat-troller and the Firstgear glove liners. Installing the troller was a piece of cake as it comes with the wires and fuse ready to bolt to the bike battery. Mounting the troller to the bike was simple as it comes with sticky dual sided Velcro that adhered to my tank bag! From there I simply had to put on the jacket, plug it into the troller and occasionally turn the knob for heat as I drove down the road. The temp was down to 34 degrees Fahrenheit with a 65 mph wind chill factor and all I could think of was "Aaaahhhhhhh! This is a nice and toasty tour!" :-)

    Ahhh.... Nice and toasty!

    "I don't ride a motorcycle until it is at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit outside!" said I before this purchase. Truth be known I use the heated seat feature in my car nearly every month of the year. Recently, I planned an 800 mile motorcycle adventure touring trip to Jackson, WY only to find the weather on the cold (30 deg) and wet side. Off to RMATV to quickly order some heated gear and WOW! I couldn't be happier! I bought the Firstgear heated jacket, Firstgear portable heat-troller and the Firstgear glove liners. I put on the Firstgear heated liner (MAKE SURE IT FITS SNUG TO HOLD IN THE HEAT), and then put on my Klim Traverse Jacket over and plugged in the liner into the troller. I occasionally dialed the troller knob to adjust the heat as I was cruising down the road. The temp was down to 34 degrees Fahrenheit with a 65 mph wind-chill factor and all I could think of was "Aaaahhhhhhh! This is a nice and toasty tour!" They have designed this gear so the heat every where you need it: around the neck and arms and lower back - simply perfect for riding. It's hard to describe how therapeutic the heated gear is for adventure touring. It's simply awesome. Now I can eat my wimpish "80 degree" words and fear cold rides no more! ;-) (FYI for you propeller heads: The NOAA Wind Chill Charts indicate that 34 deg at 65 mph feels like 17 deg or "very cold". This gear made me feel like the cat's pajamas and thatâ??s more than significant coming from my 80 degree standard.)

    sizing is out of whack

    Purchased a pair for those many cold days we must endure up here in Canada. The first thing I really noticed is the sizing. I used the size chart and going by my normal shoe size orderd a medium. I really should have ordered the large. Although they do fit, it is a tight fit, and tight fit on socks leads to poor circulation and....cold feet. The material is very thin, so I would really like to wear a thin sock under the heated one, but no way with the size I bought. I will wear another loose fitting sock over top of them. They seem to be well made, and the fitment on the foot is quite good, as it is not a tube sock. I plugged mine in directly to the bottom of my Tourmaster Synergy heated pant liner, but wish I had ordered the seperate wiring harness for the times I dont use the pant liner (will be ordering). The nice thing is, they really do a nice job of heating, and there are no annoying wires to walk on within the sock. Would I order another pair?...yes, but keeping in mind to get a size larger than indicated.
