Great power boost with Megabomb, but now too loud
Colorado just passed legislation that bikes need to be less than 96 db. I'm not thinking this will pass a sound check on my WR250F with a Megabomb (which should quiet it down about 1.5 db supposedly). The extra power is astounding - it will be very hard to give up this pipe if I have to. Excellent build quality and durability. I don't have a bad thing to say about it, except too loud, which is how FMF designed it and that was fine with me when I bought it in 2007 as there was no noise about sound being an issue and I used to ride in the middle of nowhere, many miles from the nearest person. I may have to trade it for an FMF Q4, or other.

Where I ride they want a low db or better. This fit the bill. I was recorded at 90 db on a z400 that is modified. A great sound for a quiet core.

FMF Factory-4.1 Silencer With TI Mid-Pipe

FMF 4.1 for KTM 250
WOW!! This exhaust makes my 2010 KTM 250 XCF-W run much better. More power at low and mid RPM and gains RPM's much quicker. The FMF muffler is 1 lb 3 oz lighter than the stock muffler. I borrowed a decible meter, stock muffler is 96-97 db, FMF is 98-99 db. The FMF is louder and has a much lower tone. It seems to make my bike run a bit hotter. Suggestion for RM ATV/MC: Change the picture on your website from a blue muffler to a silver muffler. FMF does make a blue anodized muffler. I thought I was getting/buying a blue muffler but RM ATV only carries the silver. No big deal as the silver looks fine, just a bit deceiving.

Killer pipe that is under the 96db limit(i checked) and gives a bit more oompff to low and mid range. Used on an 08 450X. Highly Recommended.
