    Ahhh.... Nice and toasty!

"I don't ride a motorcycle until it is at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit outside!" said I before this purchase. Truth be known I use the heated seat feature in my car nearly every month of the year. Recently, I planned an 800 mile motorcycle adventure touring trip to Jackson, WY only to find the weather on the cold (30 deg) and wet side. Off to RMATV to quickly order some heated gear and WOW! I couldn't be happier! I bought the Firstgear heated jacket, Firstgear portable heat-troller and the Firstgear glove liners. I put on the Firstgear heated liner (MAKE SURE IT FITS SNUG TO HOLD IN THE HEAT), and then put on my Klim Traverse Jacket over and plugged in the liner into the troller. I occasionally dialed the troller knob to adjust the heat as I was cruising down the road. The temp was down to 34 degrees Fahrenheit with a 65 mph wind-chill factor and all I could think of was "Aaaahhhhhhh! This is a nice and toasty tour!" They have designed this gear so the heat every where you need it: around the neck and arms and lower back - simply perfect for riding. It's hard to describe how therapeutic the heated gear is for adventure touring. It's simply awesome. Now I can eat my wimpish "80 degree" words and fear cold rides no more! ;-) (FYI for you propeller heads: The NOAA Wind Chill Charts indicate that 34 deg at 65 mph feels like 17 deg or "very cold". This gear made me feel like the cat's pajamas and thatâ??s more than significant coming from my 80 degree standard.)

    Like it

Personally, I like wearing this jacket. Keep in mind it is not made of leather and honestly, it may not hold up like a strong jacket made out of synthetic materials or leather. It offers some protection I'm sure, but I haven't had to experience a serious accident with it. The rain liner is nice too.

Jacket seems nice, sizing is for the scrawny!

Just got this, and I am bummed. I've got a big ride today and was excited to wear this, but the sizing is way off. I got a large (6ft, 190 lbs), and I can't even close my arms together as the chest/back is far too small. I will return it for a larger size, but be warned that the sizing runs "Japanese" small. Yes, I am slightly large through the shoulders, chest, and upper back, but I usually wear a large in most jackets. Now I am going to need an XL which will no doubt bag out around the stomach. Build quality seems good, though I note that stitching is off in places. Armor seems sufficient. It is a cheap jacket, so I am not going to grade it too harshly- it looks like it will fit the bill. But get a larger size than you think you need unless your chest is concave.

Just finished a 3000 mile adventure ride thru all types of weather. The materials and weather tight zippers are excellent. Cuffs are big, could seal a little tighter. Good weather proof vented shell, in colder weather, another layer would be advised. I'd give it a 4 1/2 star rating.

    I love this jacket

Looks great, feels great. Bought it on sale so the price was ridiculous! I just love RCMC. At the time I received this jacket it was a little snug compared to my other riding jackets of the same size but turns out it wasn't the jacket (it was my belly...lol). So to correct the issue I went on a diet! I love the slim fit much better now!!! Thanks again RCMC!

Motorcycle jackets come in all shapes and sizes and materials. Cruiser motorcycle jackets usually consist of leather, to help keep the elements, like rain and wind, off the rider. Dual sport motorcycle jackets are usually made of textile materials including nylon and are built up of multiple shells and layers to provide the rider with the flexability to change the motorcycle jacket according to weather conditions. ATV and dirt bike motorcycle jackets usually have extra storage pouches, zippered ventilation zones and are made of textile materials which are frequently water resistant or waterproof.

Choose from top brands like: Firstgear, Icon, Power-Trip, Scorpion, Speed and Strength, Alpinestars, Joe Rocket and more. You're sure to find the brand that fits your riding style.
