Extreme grip and mileage

Comments On Apr 05, 2014:Bought this tire to try out for my 99 Concours , figured if it lasted a while it would be a good deal .Bought and installed the tire in July 2012 ! now its April 2014 and I just hit the wear bars after 22K miles . I ride years round here in the PNW so this tire has proven itself in the rain . I ride pretty aggressively on the back roads with some slab riding up I-5 between Olympia and Seattle . I usually keep the tire inflated between 38 and 40PSI and I weight about 260 lb .Will be buying another next month .

An inexpensive, decently-performin long-lived tire

Comments On Sep 12, 2012:I put the Shinko Verge on the front of my 2001 Kawasaki Concours. From day 1, I had no complaints. Tire performed as it ought to perform. No slipping, no OMG moments. It stuck to the road (with my moderately conservative riding style) and was perfect for me. I figure, if it wore down quickly, it would still be worth it at the price point.
Last night after I got home, I started wondering if it was time to replace. Couldn't remember when I'd put it on, but it certainly couldn't have been THAT long. Checked my records....Over 16,000 miles. I'm over 300 lbs. and to have a tire last that long is fantastic. I'll be getting another one to put on very soon.
