Good all around tire but does not wear well

Comments On Jun 14, 2014:I live in the country and commute into the city. I ride primarily on different types of roads. This tire hooks up well in the dirt and rides reasonably well for a knobby on roads. Treadwear is the only complaint. I will be lucky to get more than 2000 miles out of these tires. Since a round trip on my commute is 90+ miles, that is only about 22 trips. Not very encouraging. If you are riding primarily on dirt and only on the road for a few miles, this is a good tire for you but the Dunlop D606 is a better tire for this in my opinion.

Good tire. Good price. Does not wear well.

Comments On May 06, 2014:I have had this tire for about 400 miles and it has just over 50% tread life left. It grips well in loose, soft and muddy stuff. It does not do as well on hard pack. it gets great grip on the street. You can lean into the corners with confidence. I went with these instead of my usual 606's they seem to work as well but don't last as long.

Bald in less than week

Comments On Sep 07, 2010:I got both front and rear for Christmas, saved them for a trip to Moab. They gripped great in on the road and dirt, but wore out very quickly. Less than 1000 miles, They were worth a try, but not the money.

Grips well on street and dirt

Comments On Oct 22, 2007:I was looking for an aggressive off-road but street legal tire. This one does it for me!! I have to admit, it was VERY slick the first time out. I had to power-brake it and just smoke off some of the tire. I know new tires are slick, but this was an extreme case. After a break-in, the tire grips the street well and hasn't made me uncomfortable on the curves. It tends to wear a little quicker than a standard enduro tire - but to me the aggressive tread is worth it! I'd buy them again.
Additional Comments On Sep 01, 2010:Well... it's been a couple years and approximately 1000 miles or so. Still pretty happy with the tire. It's BALD now! This tire wears fast. I rode about 90% on the street. Throughout the tire's life, it never got sketchy on the road and held up well in the dirt. I think I will not get these again, and go for a super motard set-up.
