The Roam has always been a solid performer in AStar’s lineup. And in the latest iteration, the Roam 2 Waterproof Boot, Astars takes that performance and puts it into a stylistic update to give the boot a contemporary appearance.

The toe box is slightly lower profile, but the sizing is still a standard American fit. Other changes focus on styling tweaks like a tpu panel on the top closure flap, accent stitching added all around, and some slight changes to the reflectivity and gussets at the rear.

However, core functionality of the WP version is the same (there’s also a ventilated Air version). So expect full waterproofing, 3 to 4 season usability, CE rated protection, a mid-calf height, and super-simple 3 velcro closures. Together it makes the Roam 2 land right in the meat of Alpinestars’ lineup, making it plenty versatile for all types of riding like touring, commuting, and light adventure riding.
