Comments On Jun 18, 2012:The idea of saving hundreds on boots was very appealing, but it became apparent very quickly, that you really do get what you pay for! After several uses the strap began to tear, now after a dozen rides both steel toes have fallen off, and the buckle has almost torn off completely. But i'm not complaining, i paid 70 odd dollars for the boots, and will simoly throw away once finished. I will definitely be purchasing some quality boots next time round though!

Comments On May 27, 2012:I have had these boots for over a year now and show minimum wear and tear. All of the buckles are perfect and the sole is even in good condition. I ride 100% trails. I used to ride hard on my DR350, but now I ride harder on my YZ250. I got the 2011 Edition with the ATV Sole and they are sweet. Amazing grip in the mud and on hills. They broke in only after a few rides. I wore them around the house to break them in prior to riding. The only issue I have is the brown heat guard area tends to bend in towards your shin and gets very uncomfortable when you are walking with them. Which I was going to give a 4 star for, but they have a positive side. I had them save my leg from being shattered into pieces. I was pinned after falling off my bike between a rock and my 300lb bike. My leg bones were extremely bruised and sprained ankle, but these saved it from snapping. That's why they get 5 stars. They were waterproof for the first few months, but they are starting to become less and less. My calves aren't very large and the upper "bungee" area is too large for my leg. I wear long, but skinny motocross socks and my upper leg chafes sometimes. Other than those 2 small problems my ankles feel secure, shins feel protected, and my soles are nice and grippy. Definitely would get them as a starter boot. I will move on from these boots, but they are amazing as a 1st boot. I was on a budget being 16 and they fit the bill. Thanks ARC!

Comments On Jan 17, 2012:The shoe size is small. A previous review said they fit 1/2 size bigger. I found the opposite. I bought size 9 but needed to exchange for size 10. So there may be a lot of variance in the boot fit. But Rocky Mountain has a great return policy. The boot seems well made. Time will tell.

Comments On Nov 02, 2011:The plastic surrounding your ankles has a tendency to dig into your leg. This gets a bit uncomfortable after a while.
