Tough install, but they've done their job

Comments On Apr 24, 2013:These were a real pain to install. A lot of moving things around on the handle bars. I had to cut the throttle tube very nicely, then my grips. Take note here that if you are using aftermarket bars, the inside diameter of some bars get smaller (to make them stronger) and the screws that go into the handle bars for these Handgaurds didn't go quite all the way in on mine.
Also!!: Don't leave the allen wrench at your truck or at home. Have it with you. I had one really bad fall, miles from my truck and the handgaurd bent in and pinched my clutch lever in place so that I couldn't pull it in. So I had to push start and then shift with no clutch all the way back.. and not stop! But once I got the allen, i was able to keep riding, then it took about an hour at home with a hammer to bend it back into right shape for re-installation. After all that: They still work great.

Comments On Apr 22, 2013:These handguards don't block as large an area as some due to their narrow profile but i really like how well they hold up during crashes. They have saved my levers countless times. Been running the same pair for over a season now and still going strong.

Comments On Feb 10, 2013:I've had two sets of these things on two different bikes. They are engineered well & provide excellent protection for your hands. They have saved me from broken/pinched fingers several times. You will need to do a little fitting on certain bars for certain bikes. Thats O.K., most products I buy usually need a little fitting. I also like the fact they aren't made in china. Italy is good for me!

THE choice for serious Harescrambles or Enduro

Comments On Jan 29, 2013:Just bought my 3rd pair of these, ridden on friend's bikes with cheaper guards and don't see the reasoning behind saving 20 bucks for inferior guards. All my friends have switched to these now and weve all flipped our bikes doing step up jump hills, etc. with none of us breaking these. If you've never had handguards and are concerned they get in the way of your hands and levers/fingers............thats what i thought too a few years back and i was dead wrong. These are what you need !
