- The Risk Racing Fork Seal Doctor removes the dirt that typically causes a leaky fork seal, and you can do it right at the track or on the trail. The majority of fork seals leak due to dirt being trapped in the seal. Obviously this leak will affect the suspension tuning of your bike. It can also soak your front brake pads creating unsafe riding conditions. This common problem is exactly why the Risk Racing Fork Seal Doctor was designed. The Risk Racing Fork Seal Doctor saves money, saves time and fixes leaks!
- To use the Seal Doctor: Lower the dust seal and snap the Seal Doctor on your fork tube. Then insert it into the leaky seal and twist. The design on the Fork Seal Doctor maintains the proper position and angle as you rotate around your fork tube. You don't even need to remove most fork guards. It is important to note that it effortlessly pulls the dirt out of the fork rather than pushing it deeper into the fork. You can also run your dust seal through the lower tooth on the Fork Seal Doctor in order to clean that seal up as well. Now just clean the fork up and put the dust seal back in place.
- The Fork Seal Doctor also comes with a protective holder so that it can be stored safely in your toolbox or trail pack ensuring you always have the appropriate tool for the job.
- It is important to note that although the majority of fork seals leak due to debris caught in the seal, some seals leak because they are torn, damaged, or there is a knick in the fork tube.
- Always inspect your fork tube for small Knicks or damage.

Comments On May 28, 2013:I had a leaky seal. I used the Seal Doctor and it quit leaking. The great news is that I've been on three rides since and it has yet to leak again. Normally a leaky seals means an immediate replacement. This could really save me some effort!

Great tool for fixing stubborn dirty fork seals.

Comments On Mar 05, 2013:I used to use 35mm film to get dust & grime out of leaky fork seals. I saw this and snagged it up. This thing works the treat. The business end of the Seal doctor is tapered, so it doesn't bend or fold when you slip it under your fork seals. One quick swoop, and it pulls any gunk from under the fork seal. Great tool. It's a staple in my toolbox!
