Comments On May 12, 2010: When I bought my bike it had aluminum "bark busters" with it but were not mounted because one mount was missing. No one sells just one mount, and I really didn't want to spend $30 for a set. Rocky Mountain and Tusk came through again. These mounts, with the pivot, align the guard much better and look great! I haven't laid the bike down on them yet, so I have no idea how strong the are, but I have had good luck with all of the Tusk products that I have purchased in the past.

Comments On Mar 26, 2010:The old style clamps were much better, one ride on these new ones and they twisted and shattered, with one lay over.

Comments On Feb 03, 2010:i just ordered a pair of these recently. i noticed they redesigned them, becuase they aren't the originals i broke ,or the ones shown in the display picture. i think the newer version might hold up better then the older style, because they aren't elongated where they bolt to the bar clamp. the reason i gave them a 4 is because i like how they designed the new ones.. but they didn't get a 5 because the old ones weren't very rugid and i dont have very much use on them yet.. i have faith they will hold up just fine.. if not they were 10 bucks alot better price then the radiator i just had to replace because the filler neck bent from laying it over in the mud?!

Comments On Jul 18, 2009:I have had to replace these adaptors 2 or 3 times now. I know that if I didn't lay the bike down I wouldn't have that problem, but they should be able to hold up a little bit better than they do. Still better than breaking fingers, etc.

Comments On Nov 15, 2007:I've broken several sets of these adapters. Due to their design which fits many different handlebars/bends easily, they are a bit weak. Even minor tip overs which damaged nothing else on the bike have broken these adapters in my experience. The rest of the handguard kit is top quality, but the adapters leave something to be desired.
