Comments On Dec 20, 2011:I have a Suzuki DR and after burning through several dual sport tires aimed at off road riding, this tire changed the manners of my bike for street riding. I used the Distanzia front and rear tires for a season so far and they show minimal wear. I turned my bike into more of a Supermotard bike instead of a dual purpose. These tires handle great on my light machine, allowing me to corner like I didn't realize my DR could. I'm impressed with these tires and would recommend them to anyone looking to put a street bike tire onto a dirt bike/dual purpose bike.

Comments On Jul 28, 2011:I have been through several sets of Distanzia's on my R12GS, my typical style is 90% on-road, highway speed, long distance touring, the Avon's are particularly grippy in the twisty's, quiet and last a fair amount of miles. Some have complained about wet road behavior but I have not had an issue in the rain with these tires. These tires perform well on hard dirt fire roads but are a handful in loose dirt, mud, sand and gravel on the big GS. 7-8K miles on the rears and about 10K out of the front tires is typical for me, however the fronts will wear fast and unevenly if you let the pressure fall below 40psi, these tires like a little more air pressure on the road than most others. I would rank their street handling characteristics as on-par with many quality street only tires.

Comments On Jun 20, 2011:I got this rear tire to replace an identical tire that is still on my '06 XRL ( it came with a new set of Avons on it). They corner very securely, and I'm almost at 2K miles, with very little noticable wear. All other reviews I've found concur. I expect to run these tires for the life of this bike.
