    SAFETY

Inspect and check tire pressure often. This is the most important tire-maintenance function you can perform. Refer to your machine's documentation for proper maintenance. Always give tires a gentle "run-in" period of 100 miles to get the feel of new tires--this means they should not be subjected to maximum power, abrupt lean-over, hard cornering, etc. Always match the front and rear tires for optimal handling, safety and performance. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability.

    WARNING

The charts and information on this page do not imply interchangeability. Consult your machine's manual to determine correct replacements, clearances, compatibility and stability, load-bearing capacity, speed rating, radial vs. non-radial, pattern and tread compound requirements, inflation recommendations and front-to-rear tire matching. Wrong selection can result in tire failure or loss of control with serious injury or death.

The Bridgestone Battlax BT016 Pro Hypersport motorcycle tires multi-compound technology derived from Moto GP, delivers the grip performance demanded in every aspect – braking, maximum side grip in cornering, and strong traction at the exit of a corner. Comprehensive Tire Design Method is an advanced tire design technology that enables dynamic, three-dimensional simulations of tire performance at all lean angles. High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord – Mono Spiral Belt technology in the front and rear tires provide a rich contact feel, strong grip and high-speed stability.
  • The Battlax front motorcycle tire features Bridgestone’s dual compound (3LC) to provide grip in all riding modes. The center compound offers linear handling while the shoulder compound secures high grip and solid contact feeling.
  • The front motorcycle tires parallel "S" shaped grooves give optimal cornering force to improve stability, linear handling and absorption. Groove location across the tread center secures rich contact feeling and stable wet performance.

Good wear and grip.

Comments On Feb 04, 2014:I have a KTM Super Duke that I commute on and ride the mountain roads on the weekend. Tire held up great and the center compound held up to daily commuting.

Great Tire CBR1000rr

Comments On Mar 22, 2013:Great street tire, i have used this tire in the rain/shin/and cold. I will have to say it does take a bit longer than most to warm up. But great feel i have about 4k on both the rear and front, Front is a little past halfway, rear needs to be changed , getting close to a slick. Mainly highway miles on these tires, but would definitely buy again.

Battlax BT016 on an 1125R

Comments On Feb 09, 2013:I've run several different tyre makes on my Buell including the Corsas fitted when the bike was new and though all were great when new, I did noticed a loss of handling and reasurance once they'd got down to half wear. I'm now close to the end with the Battlaxes and they simply haven't missed a beat. Nice to be still using the entire outer edge of a tyre this late in it's life and the few times I found myself comming in too hot on a wet bend , found the did exactly what Bridgestone said they would. My next choice of tyre is already made. I'm using them front and rear and seriously can't recomend them enough.
