These pants feel like they are up to the the job of protecting me from the elements. Minimal armor in the knees, none in the hips where you need them. I like the abrasion resistant patches on the knees but I don't like the pockets. Waterproof pockets are on top of the thigh and are too small for a large phone but OK for a wallet. The regular side pockets keep everything right in your crotch. Sizing is spot on if you want them to fit like jeans. I recommend going a size up if you plan on not riding commando. Vents are minimal and the forward facing top vents are small and might allow airflow while standing but probably not while sitting on a bike. Have not tried them yet, however.

Love them. With that being said, this is my first set of ADV gear. So I have nothing to compare them to. But, I do love these pants. I don’t see me needing a fancier or more expensive pair. These pants "do" everything I need them to do…. And do it comfortably. A few gripes though. First, the hip pads are just kinda in there dangling. I removed them for a better fit. Second, they’re hot. If you’re riding in 80 degrees, you’re going to sweat. But I guess that would be the case for most gear. Lastly, I feel that they’d be way more comfortable if they had a little stretch in the waist.

Just got these the first of the week. I am in Florida and with the heat and humidity these are great. We had a Florida downpour and got to try them out and was bone dry. The fit is nice and they are not bulky. The only thing I don't like is that the rain liner has to be worn on the inside. I was hoping it would be like the jacket and could be worn either on the inside or outside. The reality is this is a PAIN. I never put my rain gear on before it starts to rain. I'll probably get a pair of rain pants to go over these. A little crazy but I do like the fit and the air flow. I bought these for the TAT. Will return for a long term review after the TAT is done.

Solid offroad pant. I bought to be my enduro go to, it being a tougher material and all. Will be a little hotter than your race type pants but it still has ventilation openings that help when you're moving. Great fit and solid construction. Alpinestars has a very tailored fit, I have some of their lightweight top of the line gear and I run 32's, but I went with 34's here for a more comfortable spacey fit and Im glad I did for the purpose of enduro riding, even though the 32's would have worked with a slim fit just fine.
