Without Ryan Villopoto in the mix, the 450MX championship was largely a battle between Ken Roczen and Ryan Dungey, with impressive performances by Trey Canard, Eli Tomac and Brett Metcalfe as well. However, it was Roczen who stole the show with a rookie championship. Jeremy Martin dominated in 250MX, but Blake Baggett, Cooper Webb, Marvin Musquin, Justin Bogle and Christophe Pourcel also had great showings.
It was 1-1 sweeps for both classes at the Utah National on August 23. Trey Canard finished the season on a high note with the first 450MX victory of his career, and Jeremy Martin showed everyone why he is the champion of the 250MX class with a victory of his own. The day’s events also crowned Ken Roczen champion of the 450MX class.
Vegas to Reno, the longest off-road race in the United States, took place on August 15-16 on a course over 535 miles. Ricky Brabec and Robby Bell took 1st in the Open Pro class and have secured the championship. However, the UTV Pro 1900 class is seeing a heated competition in the top five spots.
