Tank Bag for my BMW GS1200 Adventure

I have a 2013 BMW GS1200 Adventure (Oil Cooled) and was looking for tank bags. BMW's are way over priced as is Touratech. This bag fit absolutely perfect and went on in minutes! I use the universal mounting system and am very pleased and saved BIG money. Only thing I wish was that Rocky Mountain carried the rain cover.

    Great bag. Perfect for sportster!

I ordered this bag a few days ago and it came in very quick! I did a lot of research and shopping for a tank bag for my Iron 883 and wound up with this one. It fits my tank great. The size and shape looks like it was designed specifically for the sportster fuel tank. The magnets are very strong. It's the perfect size for carrying anything you would need for a day trip. The bag itself is very well made and looks really good. I would recommend this product to anybody looking for a bag for day trips or trips to town. I use it to commute back and forth to work and it is great. The gps and cell phone pockets on the top are very handy as well. The bottom of the bag is a rubber like material that is soft enough that I'm not worried about it scratching my paint. Overall very impressed with this bag. I looked at a Harley Davidson tank bag that didn't have near the features of this one and was also twice the price. If you're looking for a medium sized bag to put keys, gps, cell phone, wallet, a couple bottles of water, or whatever else you want, this is the bag.

This bag fits excellent and stays on at 130+ mph!

Don't try that at home. Bag was perfect size on my R6 tank. I place my day cover in it and that is it. It has a bit more room if I desired although, I also have a backpack I can use for long journeys. Looks great and can hold a good amount of stuff without looking like a suitcase on a race bike.

    Quality Lacking

I use this bag a little different than most on my dirt bike. That said it should hold up better then it has. I've had to re-sew many of the seams. I like the size & configuration of the bag, but it is a bit fragile.

    Not Quite What I Expected...

I had one of these previously, on a 2006 VTX 1300C, and it fit well and held up for 4 years of Arizona sunlight. I traded that bike for a 2008 VTX 1800F, and since I knew the old one wouldn't fit, I searched for quite a while to find one (doesn't seem like they make too much to fit the 1800F), and came upon this one that supposedly fits. It can be made to work, but it's not the perfect fit for the '08 1800F. First off, it's a bit too long on the end that goes under the seat, basically interfering with the part of the seat that sits under the tank. I solved this by cutting a slit for the seat tongue to fit through before setting it under the tank. And then, once it's placed under the instrument cover on the top of the tank, the front straps appear to be a bit short, so they don't run all the way over the front end of the tank. It still looks okay, and works well enough after a bit of modification, to keep it, but if/when it's time to replace it, I'll probably have to bite the bullet and spend the extra $40 to buy the Hondaline that's actually made to fit this specific bike.
