these tires held up well for being able to ride the pavement aswell as dirt. I got about 3500 miles on them mixed terrain. less then 30% road. they worked well in intermediate to hard pack but were poor at best in deep sand or mud. if you ride mostly road I would look elsewhere.

I decided to give these a try after using 756's for some time and I did not like the Geomax MX31's at first. There comparable to the 756 but not as good and are more sensitive to tire pressure. However, after riding on the Geomax 31's for a while now, I like them, but I will stay with the 756's as they are still a better tire and cheaper.

I have gotten at least half a summer on this riding rocky technical trails with lots of hill climbs and the rear looks a little beat up but a most of the knobs are still intact and still roostin! I haven't found a tire I have liked more!

Replaced the stock Metzeler tire with the Rally Raid in July 2008. Judging from the life of the Metzeler tire, I purchased a Kenda K270 tire replacement for the Rally Raid in September 2008. The Kenda replacement was not needed until August 2011. Rally Raid exceeded my expectations. No flat, tire tears, or loosing knobs. I squared the knobs with a razor in 2010 to increase traction. The 530 EXC spins the tire easily, but the cost in tire wear is insignificant. Excellent tire on and off road -- about 35% asphalt and 65% dirt over the life of the tire. Sadly, the price is up $70 from July 2008 -- the price increase alone is more than the cost of a new Kenda K270. I don't know how the Kenda compares yet, but my confidence in the Rally Raid justifies its exorbitant price.

Great tire for sand. Has lasted well for where I ride. 95% sand. Would not last long in the mountains or hard pack but that is not what I bought it for.

Installed on a 2004 WR450, I ride primarily in Northwestern NV. I can only rate this tire from a trail riding point of view and not a trials riding point of view. The tire does great on all the terrain that NV has to offer, IE: Lose dirt, hard pack, sand, and rocks. I do get a bit nervous in fast turns that require some lean angle as the tire is fairly square and dose not seem to have much side bite. The tire inspires confidence, as I began to notice the capabilities of the tire over my normal riding obstacles I began pushing my skills a bit further. Now I am constantly looking for obstacles that will test the tire and my abilities. The tire makes things so easy, I feel like I am cheating! Would recommend to a friend and will purchase again.
