I recently purchased this roost guard, i am not a fan of wearing one i have two different brand new ones that i wont wear and i must say i love this chest protector...fits nice and snug no wobble and my leatt brace fits nice and snug as well...a must have for any racer that feels pain when rocks bounce off your chest

Great looks and comfort but no protection
I bought this vest about two months ago and I loved the comfort of it and the looks, that is until I finally crashed last weekend. I crashed at high speed so no hard impact on my body, but my ribs hurt and my chest is killing me. I would recommend you buy a real roost protector like the Alpinestars 10.

Answer Racing Nova Roost Deflector

Good product, but...
When I was a younger man and raced regularly, I always wore Answer products. However after being away from riding for over 15 years and coming back, I bought Answer products again (pants, jersey, chest protection). My complaint is with the chest protector, specifically the buckles. They are flimsy and break readily. They are grossly under-engineered and failed in just over a year's worth of riding. I haven't gotten any help from Answer on this, in fact they haven't bothered to reply to my E-mail inquiry. Too bad such a nice product is hampered by "cheesy" buckles. I'll be buying a different brand... probably Fox, you know what you're getting with them!

Ok in theory
Product is well made, and the hydration function is fine. But the back pack portion is quite useless, unless you plan on bringing the bare minimum. Not a lot of sealed zipper compartments either, it is just asking for stuff to fall out or get wet. Sorry...not for me.
