Knee Braces provide knee support and protection during those long races or trail rides.

just purchased a leatt-club kneck brace and pod/fox k700 pair of braces...front tire went flat and i didnt know it was flat till I landed front wheel 1st off of a step-up jump... crashed @ aprox. 25 mph. and landed head 1st right knee 2nd... leatt-club did its job well but the right knee cup dislocated 100% (as it probably was designed too) and the left top upper most quad strap snapped in half... i walked away done for the day with only a sprained left wrist(healed in 36hrs.) and a sore right shoulder (took 3 days to heal)... i bought the asterisks 1st and wore around the living room for an hour and felt like frankenstein @ the knees... I sent them back to r.mtn. atv/mc an got a refund toward the better pod k700s...only brace better would be rx. custom built cti's... but I have no insurance...next purchase = wrist braces by EVS...silver account level buyer... oh yeh the knee cup clicked rite back in and I had a local tailor sew the snapped/ripped strap for $6.42...

I got these to replace my older Asterisk Cell braces that had the tie in the back design. I thought the fit on these would be perfect but I am very disappointed with these. One of the braces I received already had a broken strap. The Boa tether system is pretty cool but when you unlock the twist adjuster you have to pull out the tiny wirelike straps. The little wirelike straps get all twisted when they are unwound from the adjuster making it a little difficult to hook them to the front of the brace. Also the wire straps come out of the plastic channels they are supposed to ride in. Also the tabs on the end of the wire straps are tiny almost cheesy cheap looking and got caught on my pants. But once you get the straps on and secured you can really adjust the tension very nicely compared to the old "lace" design. The problem is that the BOA adjusters in the back either stretch or come loose even in the locked position. After riding an MX track (standing mostly and only sitting in the turns) for about three hours the braces started to fall down as the adjusters came loose or stretched I am not sure which leaving painful marks on my legs. These braces are very bulky too and barely fit over my pants that are already large. Very disappointing especially for 700 bucks and I already sold my old ones; I wish I had them back!

I am happy with these as they are sturdy and have good adjustment. It took no time at all to get used to riding with them. The attachment system is simple and really holds onto your upper and lower leg, quick to put on too. The only issue I have had is that they chaife against my inner leg, where the tendon for my hamstring muscle comes down the inside of my knee. This doesnt happen all the time and could be an adjustment issue.

The first pair of knee braces I owned were the astrick braces and I thought at the time they where unbeatable. I bought the pod knee brace because of the reviews and I love them they are way better than the others.

These are sweet. very strong materials. I would prefer they had some sort of "memory" strapping system, but not that big of a deal really. as with anything you strap to your body it takes a bit to get used to, but after a short ride you forget they are there.

I bought these because i needed support on my knee. I broke the bottom of the right one on my first ride. I replaced it and broke the second one in almost the same place on my second ride.
