These went right on with no problem. Holes lined right up. I think the revieve prior to this had the wrong parts sent to him. These worked just fine and both sides lined up. I had no problems.

These are great protectors of fork seals. Easy to install, I remove them for bike cleanings and wash them with a little soap and hang to dry. They last about a season of riding and then the velcro tabs start to come off. I think they're definitely worth it.

I can only address the performance of these protectors on my bike. I purchased black Fork Protectors (FP) to go with the other black plastic on my bike. These are made to fit X and R models. They DO NOT have the mount on the non-brake side to hold the drive cable to the stock X odometer. This is stated in the ad copy and doesn't matter since I am using a Trail Tech computer. The problem is with the 3 mounting holes at the bottom of the fork leg/FP. 2 of them are 2 small 4 the shouldered mounting bolts (can be reamed out with round file) but 1 of the holes is off center so that you can only get 2 bolts thru to the fork leg. This appears to be bad engineering rather than molding defects. RM ATV/MC replaced with Acerbis FP no problem but Acerbis had a similar problem but it could be overcome (see Acerbis FP revue by me).

I thought this product was supposed to be something revolutionary and effortless from all the hype it got. It's not. It's the same deal as the spring mechanisms. You have to compress and hold down your forks and still use your other hand to operate the lever for the device to engage. The magnets don't hold the lever in place or anything like that, still pretty much a two person job.

nice look compared to faded stock fork guards.
