Priced right, this protector is perfect for your kids while giving them rides, and while they are learning to ride a bike themselves. Fox has hit it just right with this.

This is a very light chest pertector. It dosnt feel like you are wearing one at all. Before you use it locktight all the aluminum bolts Or they WILL fall out. DO not over tighten bolts I cracked a sholder gaurd. But i still love it works well and has held up well to crashes.

When I was a younger man and raced regularly, I always wore Answer products. However after being away from riding for over 15 years and coming back, I bought Answer products again (pants, jersey, chest protection). My complaint is with the chest protector, specifically the buckles. They are flimsy and break readily. They are grossly under-engineered and failed in just over a year's worth of riding. I haven't gotten any help from Answer on this, in fact they haven't bothered to reply to my E-mail inquiry. Too bad such a nice product is hampered by "cheesy" buckles. I'll be buying a different brand... probably Fox, you know what you're getting with them!

I had high hopes for this because it looked sweet and had nice features...After the first ride, the shoulder pads starting falling apart, and the screws that hold them on are a joke! half of them stripped out and one broke right off...on top of that, the adult large seemed way to small. I am only 5'8, but after adjusting the front and rear down so it would cover more of my body, it left my neck and upper chest unprotected...I have returned it to go with a different option. For the money I expected more... I did feel good while I had it on, fit under a jersey pretty well and the waist straps were nice to use. It let a lot of air in which was nice on the hot days of riding. Maybe if I had a larger size and it had better construction in the shoulders, I would have kept it.
