Not Bulky But Still DOT Approved
Most half-helmets are either "novelty" or "for show" types that aren't DOT approved. They may look nice, but offer very minimal (if any) protection. This Skid-Lid combines both Safety and Sex Appeal. Has a well cushioned inside (just a little over .75 inches on the sides that pushes out to about 1.25 inches in the back and 1 inch in the front). It's not overly padded so you don't get that big salad-bowl-on-top-of-your-head look. Graphics are screened on under a nice and shiny clear coat so you don't have to worry about them peeling off or rubbing off like some of the other inexpensive helmets. the skull graphics look even better in real life!! For the money you pay (less than $50)you CANNOT go wrong). Awesome helmet AND the shipping from Jake Wilson was incredibly fast! You'll have it within 2-3 days evern with the standard UPS Ground shipping! Comes in the same box you would get if you purchased it in a retail store. I know because I bought one from our local Harley dealership before. You should go out and buy a clip strap conversion thing because you will have to cut the long strap. I cut mine other one too much and didn't torch the ends so it got all ratty. That's why I am buying another one... Skid Lid's are awesome helmets. Light, Secure, Safe, and Sexy.

I ordered my normal size helmet an xl which I must have 8 different helmets between mx snow and street all xl. Not this one also ordered a med for my wife which I almost fit in??? Other than that nice helmet but it still felt large on my head even my wifes.

Helmet shipped not the same as the one pictured
Nice helmet. The helmet shipped was not the same as the picture. There are no decals on the visor side plate so there is a large part of the design missing. This one must be a newer version. Still a cool looking helmet, just be aware so you're not as dissapointed as I was.

Nice looking metal flake, some imperfections.
Sparkles and shines, fit is on par with Arai sizing. Some impurities in the clear coat put a blemish on an otherwise great looking hat. Nice quilting inside and leather accents too. Standard D-rings are simple and effective to use. A good buy at a good price, they fit tighter on your head and prevent that, "ready to shoot out of a cannon" look that many other helmets have.

Bit too small
The little disk in the back of the helmet which adjusts size/fit had bars that came along the side of the temples mid helmet. These were very tight & I believe is what caused this helmet to run small. Otherwise even if snug padding would have conformed to head easily. Get a size larger. Also this fits pretty high above the head, felt like a cone head. Like the style though. wish it would have fit.
