I bought a COSTCO winch and used this mounting plate. It worked great and it allows me an inexpensive replacement winch should I need to do so. Highly recommended.

The good and the not so good. Good: 1.Fits perfectly. 2. Requires only minor trimming of skid plate. Bad: 1. There is no way to visually inspect the spooling drum to see if the wire rope is wrapping properly. This increases the potential for winch and rope damage. 2. The fairlead mounting is held by only two 90 degree sheet metal tabs and is subject to bending from minor front end hits. 3. High price compared to other mounts.

The mount DID NOT line up with the plate that goes on the 4 wheeler. It is the right kit for my 2004 Polaris Sportsman 400 though. I had to take everything off, center the winch on the mount and redrill 4 holes. Not a big deal, only took 30 minutes to drill. And it was either that or take a chance on another mount which is $20 more. Now it mounts perfectly! 2 stars for having to modify the mount otherwise it would have been 5 stars.
