A.R.C Pro-Flex

Not sufficient kneecap padding, a hit to the kneecap will probably result in a broken kneecap. Not very comfortable.

    Hockey Anyone?

These knee guards do what they are designed to do...GOOD. They WILL protect your knees from rocks & hard impacts every time. But they are VERY large and bulky. If I had it to do over I would save up for the knee brace systems!

    AWESOME GEAR

BOUGHT THIS GEAR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES. FITS GOOD A LITTLE SNUG AT FIRST. (I AM 5'9" 240 LBS AND PURCHASED THE X-LARGE) DEFINITELY NEED TO WEAR FOR A LITTLE BIT BEFORE YOU GO OUT RIDING TO BREAK IT IN. HAVE CRASHED MY SCOOTER (04 WR450) MANY TIMES AND HAVE WALKED AWAY WITH SUBSTANTIALLY LESS BODILY HARM THEN WHEN I WAS NOT WEARING IT. AA++

    not Alpinestars quality

I've had these braces for almost a year. I previously rode with Asterisk braces for 4 years but wanted to try these. I use braces because I don't have an ACL anymore in my right knee. The Alpinestars have been a let down. In the first two rides, the tiny screws that hold the top strap to the brace backed out on both braces. The threaded portion is so small it's ridiculous. I used longer threaded screws to replace them and they've held in place. I had to do some grinding and taping to make it work. They migrate down your leg unlike Asterisk braces. The little snaps that hold the knee cap/patella piece in place won't stay snapped at all. Fortunately, the snaps are to big to pull through so the knee cap piece doesn't fall completely out. The padding behind the knee cap is pretty thin too. I've used the brace for skiing as well as dirt biking... Asterisk fit better and stayed place MUCH better as well as stayed together. The only thing these braces have going for them is their light weight. I don't recommend these braces. Additional Comments On Sep 20, 2011:After posting this review I received a phone call from Alpinestars. They wanted to look at my knee braces and replace the FOR FREE. They have have made small changes in the current braces. It was a pleasure to deal with them as a company. The screws that fell out have been addressed and the top and bottom straps are wider. They do have a very simple adjustment for the flexion stops. I like how simple it is to adjust the range of motion. Thank you Alpinestars for have continuously updating your product and for world class customer service.

    Spot on

The first pair of knee braces I owned were the astrick braces and I thought at the time they where unbeatable. I bought the pod knee brace because of the reviews and I love them they are way better than the others.

    5 star for the price

Nice mid-priced knee pads. Seem like they offer more protection than the cheaper ones out there, both a little better coverage and from bigger hits. Coming off two pairs in a row of the EVS pads. Pads stay nicely in place.
