  This stuff seems to work well (I haven't had any super gummed up carbs to try it on yet). It doesn't foam up like some other deep acting carb cleaners but it does work well for blasting holes and jets clean. Can't beat the price.

  PJ1 Pro-Enviro Carb and Choke Cleaner

  worked on my carb and on my carpet

  with the motor running and the air filter off (in a clean environment), sprayed a few shots into the carb from the air intake. worked great to smooth out a few chugs. and i just used the rest of the can on the bathroom carpet. my 8-year old spilled purple nail polish all over the place. it works really well getting nail polish out of carpet.
