I was looking for some cold weather gloves for riding MX as well as snowmobiling. I was looking for something less bulky that I could feel the grips with easily. Now, I wasn't expecting them to be worn in less than 10 Degree weather, but since Scott claims they are apart of there Snowmobiling line...I figured they would be good at 32-20 degrees. I was wrong. I got them in the mail and wanted to try them out. All I did was take my dog for a walk, but I didn't even make it around the block and my hands were frozen! It was about 28 degrees. I don't know how many people snowmobile in 32 Degree Plus weather (when snow is melting) but these wouldn't be good until about 45 Degrees. Looking for something else now.

Different material than the Underwaers and Moose brands (which are exactly the same ones). The MSR are made of a poly blend and the others are a kevlar blend. You would think the kevlar ones would last longer but that's not the case. The MSR also form fit your hands better making a better fit inside the glove. OH, they do what they are suppossed to too. I have wussy hands and I don't get blisters!

I used these gloves on my 35 mile commute to work (it was 27 degrees when I left). Two miles down the road my hands were cold. By 5 miles in my hands were already numb. I had to change my route to a slower route with no real change in comfort. By the time I got to work I lost all feeling in my fingers and was actually concerned I might've gotten frostbite. Thankfully I didn't. To get home that night I had to layer my summer gloves inside these. It was only a little better. It was a long ride home.

I am so impressed with these gloves. I use them for cold weather riding on my 4 wheeler and was a bit skeptical at first about them because the insulation is a bit thin. They do a pretty good job though- add in some heated grips and you can go all day with these. What is most impressive to me is how well they wear. I tend to be pretty hard on gloves, especially the palms, but these do not show a single sign of wear yet. The palms still look like new after 3 rides ! I can't speak yet to how waterproof they are but I suspect with the goretex they will do pretty well. A bit pricy but worth the money if you want something that is going to last you !
