The brake lines work great and look great. I've had no problems with them

The Tusk brand of braided brake lines are a great product and well made. They hold up to the extreme conditions of woods racing. A lot cheaper than other brands and well worth the investment to buy the braided instead of the normal brake lines. They hold up a lot better. By the time you purchase the regular brake lines and have to replace over and over, you would have saved money on purchasing the sturdy braided brake lines.

Was a great improvement to my sons YZ125. Was considering a large rotor upgrade but this did the trick and saved a lot of $$$. The line comes with a thick rubber chafe guard on it. We positioned this on the line, through the "S" clamp so the line would be well clear of the rotor then secured this to the line by wrapping electric tape around the ends of it so it would not slide up and down on the line. We then clamped it in place with the factory "S" clamp on the lower fork guard. I check it frequently but so far so good.

Installed these on front and rear , planning on installing the pads and stainless rotors too. Handle and pedal feel is improved , takes less effort to brake now . Great deal for a renamed galfer product.

Purchased a CRF450X front hose for my CRF450R to clear the head light. (have lighting coil, it gets dark in the desert) Found line fit very well but not as rock solid as you would think. The line said Gaffer on it and tusk on bag it came in. After many bleedings the brakes worked but lever never solid, allways could be pulled to bar with increasing effort. The brakes would allways lock but it allways was springey. After the first line broke (after two years and a crash cracked it) I ordered and installed anouther one hoping it might be different. The new line is the same. The springy feel doesn't bother me thats why I gave it 4 stars. But if you want a rock solid no give line, this is not the line for you. If you need a new line that works ( with a little give) at a good price buy this line. (the red looks cool to!)

On some bikes a new smaller diameter clamp is needed on the lower fork guard. The stock one is too big to clamp the hose, but it clamps good on the "stiffener" hard section. BUT, in the instruction for the new line I bought elsewhere, it stated "DO NOT CLAMP TO THE STIFFENER! HOSE WILL SLIDE INSIDE THE STIFFENER AND HIT THE ROTOR AND WILL BE DAMAGED!" This is exactly what happened to my Galfer line. Outside plastic rubbed away, and frayed the inner braided SS. Didn't start leaking, but need to be replaced. It's required on an RMZ450 for sure.
