The rears are very soft compound like the (yellow label) razr mx's. They hook up great on hard packed tracks but wear so fast you will need to replace them often. I've used a few different brands of rear tires for other track conditions with great results, all were also less expensive. Maxxis really needs to get competetive and drop the price on these. The fronts are great tires but a little pricey as well.

Maxxis Razr XC ATV Tire

Insanely Awesome!
The clean out on these is amazing. I have a friend who runs the RAZR 2's and in soft stuff...his tires do not clean out at all. My are dry as a bone. They seem to take a beating as well. They have about 25 hrs on them and a few XC races. The edges rounded pretty quickly. I swapped them around just at 15 hours. I gave them 4 stars because I think they are going to wear much quicker than I am used to. But, I'll be buying these tires as long as Maxxis makes them.

Better buy all these tires they have for the price or be sorry these are good looking and functioning tires I purchased a front set for my raptor and I just wish they had a matching set for the rears in my size cause I would buy them just an awesome deal had them a few months and I ride hard and have virtually no sign of wear even with all the rocks we have here in Oklahomai

Tusk Voltage ATV Tire

Great tires, Durable, No whine review!
I bought these for the front to complement the Razr 2's (had the Voltage backs on order but they where coming from the east coast so went with the Razr) on the same order. These things perform very well in all sorts of terrain and at every speed. They look the same that they did more or less after a 50 mile ride then when I mounted them. Very little signs of wear. They track superbly at high speed and the side lugs that cover most of the quarters of the tire where a great idea on Tusks' part. Long rocky sweepers where no match for these tires! I will go one further and say that these did as well if not better than the GNCC's that I had previously on the front. Very precise feedback with very little input needed from the operator. I am now a huge fan of Tusk tires! I am going to go ahead and order two more sets of these before Tusk figures out that they have a quality product and raises the price. These tires kept right up with the Razr 2's on the back. ------ Mounting these wasn't as hard as some of the reviews makes it out to be. Yes they come all squished when you get them but a little patients on the part of the person mounting them is all that is needed. I was skeptical at first, first ride washed that all away! Let them hang by the bead in the sun for an hour or two before starting the mounting process and you will thank me! Placing some dowels in between the beads to widen them is also helpful while hanging in the sun. After you get them on the rim place them back in the sun so they stay warm. Ratchet strap the center, wipe on tire goop, hit with air and they bead nicely. I let them sit in the sun after mounting with about 20# of air to get the shape back perfectly. The short of the long is they rode wonderfully and I would highly recommend these to anyone regardless of budget! The only reason I can think of for less than 5-stars is people just like to complain. Thank you RMATV and Tusk, I had a blast this weekend because of you! If I had to complain about something it would be that RMATV didn't send me any stickers like Motosport does. Hey RMATV, BrandEX in Los Angeles can make you some stickers, tell em Steve sent you!
