I was looking for an aggressive off-road but street legal tire. This one does it for me!! I have to admit, it was VERY slick the first time out. I had to power-brake it and just smoke off some of the tire. I know new tires are slick, but this was an extreme case. After a break-in, the tire grips the street well and hasn't made me uncomfortable on the curves. It tends to wear a little quicker than a standard enduro tire - but to me the aggressive tread is worth it! I'd buy them again. Additional Comments On Sep 01, 2010:Well... it's been a couple years and approximately 1000 miles or so. Still pretty happy with the tire. It's BALD now! This tire wears fast. I rode about 90% on the street. Throughout the tire's life, it never got sketchy on the road and held up well in the dirt. I think I will not get these again, and go for a super motard set-up.

Lasts longer than any other soft terrain tire on the market. Side knobs will not chunk until the 2nd season (yes it lasts that long!) The longest knobs of any front tire known, dig deep into loose terrain for incredible downhill braking power. Tire cleans out red mud/clay better than you would think for so many/close spaced knobs and works excellent. Tire bead extends over the rim for added pinch flat resistance and rim protection in the rocks. Tire is physically larger/wider than any 21" tire I know of. Fantastic/the best side-hill control and holding capabilities of any tire I have ever used. I believe this is due to the shear number of side knob sharp edges and shouldered sidewall strength. One friend is on his 5th season with one of these tires while using long studs in it! It is just now starting to chunk away. Excellent rubber for studs. I am buying a new Ed11 this season and will install the new "screw in studs" (it will take 250 of them @ $.80 ea.) Whats the downside? The tire has such long knob's that cornering on hard surfaces like a road, requires some getting acquainted with it as they "walk around" a bit. It does not slide out, but feels a bit "spooky"

i used this tyre on a 2500km desert event on a drz400. seriously tough. probably too much of a tyre for a drz even with a 20l tank and me (heavy)though while other bikes were denting rims and getting pinch flats, using more std enduro type tyres, i didnt. the thing is barely worn and will prob go back on the bike for the same event next year.

This tire offers good traction in the desert here. It stands up to the rocks well, but wears really fast.

The tire grabs well and works well for desert. It's just way tall! If your shorter than 6' and haven't lowered your suspension or seat, don't get this tire. It raises the seat height by almost an inch.

The front didnt turn very well, and the rear would not hook up in the loose stuff. OK for the street. Not too loud.
