    Not great in the mud

This tire is average, strange tread pattern. I prefer the M404 and will be switching back for my next tire. It dose last pretty long though.

    Great tires

Much better then the trail wings. Grip better in a lean and I get 1000-1200 more miles out of the rear.

    Intermediate, yes - Mud, no

On wet or dry rocky terrain this tire works very well and isn't chunking. On greasy mud it's a bit scary. I'll go back to a 403 when this one is done.

    Good all around tire

Good tire for single track in the north east. Hooks up in dirt and grips on the rocks. Mine has been wearing very little.

    Great all around tire

I put these on my Honda XR650R. I made a long trip recently, about 80% street, and these are great on the street. I ran them at 25 lbs and left out the rim locks. On the road, they handle very well in the corners and wet condiions. Most important, they last a long time and maintain predictable performance throughout tread lfe. All together, i put about 1,200 miles on them. In the dirt, they, as you would expect, are a compromise. For good traction, they need to be down to no more than 16 lbs. However, even at 25 lbs, they did a good job. With the shallow tread pattern, soft loam and sand are a challenge, especially with such a large and powerful bike. Overall, if you are running 80% street and 20% dirt, these are a great choice. On fast fire roads, they really excel. Since they are light weight compared to a dirt tire, higher speed handling is vastly improved, over a heavy knobby tread. For dual sport riding, i think these are a great choice.

Best OEM tire I have used

Suzuki v-strom is one of the few bikes out there that come with such a great OEM tire. The tire seems to be getting good mileage and it handles great on everything I have thrown at it considering it is an 80/20 tire. It handles surprisingly well off pavement for a more street oriented tire and the price is great compared to other tires. Performs just as well as the very popular and more expensive metzler tourance for me. I could not ask for more out it.
