How Strong?.125 - The lightest grade of aluminum for recreational use only. Used for mild trail riding and sand dunes.
.160 - A medium grade for recreational riding. Great for those who ride sand dunes that need a little more strength for light jumping; more strength and lightweight.
.190 - For serious trail riding and competition. Provides greatest resistance of bending from jumping and hitting obstacles.

To determine the sidewall height on metric sizes, the manufacturers have
what is called the aspect ratio.
The aspect ratio is the percentage of the tread width: for example, on the tire size above, the aspect ratio is 100% of the tread width (the first number in the tire size), creating a 110 millimeter sidewall height.
