All of my boots are now waterproof

Rodney in AL

Comments On Feb 26, 2015:These are well worth the price paid. The problem with waterproof boots is that none of them are as protective as a full motocross boot. These solve that problem. I can wear any boot now and have full waterproofing. They go all the way up to just below your knee, but the real beauty is that they are sealed at the top with elastic, so you can literally go swimming and your feet will stay dry.
I tested them out first by wearing a really old pair of boots I had laying around with several holes in them. In a 2' creek crossing at about 35 degrees F, I put my left foot completely under the water, and kept my right foot on the peg, away from the water. I could tell there was water in my boot, but both feet stayed warm for the rest of the ride.
A couple of weeks later, I went for a 2-3 hour ride with my new boots (non-waterproof). It was raining (about 40 degrees F) the entire time, and on the way back, at the same creek crossing, the water had risen up to about 2.5 feet. Both feet went underwater naturally this time, but both remained perfectly dry and warm.
I did get a size larger than normal, as others had mentioned, and I agree it's the right choice.

WOW! I didn't know that I 'needed' these...

TODD in GA

Comments On Jun 24, 2014:I tried these on a whim (and a gift card!) they actually make my boots fit better!(yes they take up more room than a sock alone) on my first outing I hit many deep mud puddles and creek crossings and my feet stayed dry AND cool! five stars!

Excellent alternative to buying waterproof boots

David in WA

Comments On Feb 09, 2014:Theses are a great alternative to buying a full waterproof boot. You can also wear them in your hiking boots to keep your feet warm and dry while hiking.

Dry boots

Andrew in TAS

Comments On Oct 13, 2013:A week long trip. Boots get wet on day 1. However wearing these inserts kept my feet dry that day, and all the following days despite the boots remaining wet.
