Amazing map switch!

Thomas in New York – Machine this part was bought for: 2013 KTM 350 SX-F

Comments On Mar 02, 2016:I have the 2013 KTM 350SX-F and it comes with two pre programed ignition maps so buying this map switch was a must for me since i'm a woods rider.
You have to plug it in under your seat and if you want to switch modes you have to keep going under it and change the dial to 1 or 2, the manual tells you witch mode is witch. I love the soft map that retards the timing. It makes trail riding so much smoother and makes the bike act so much more friendly. But if you give her gas she will still go! the advanced timing map makes the bike snap faster and picks up speed much MUCH faster, it's a crazy improvement on the bike if your looking for top speed.
The only down side to this switch is you must stop and take the seat off to switch the mode. Another thing is when flipping the map switch you have to stop and idle the bike for maybe 30 seconds? to let the new map read through the injector. These are the only downsides and other then that it's a must on the newer KTM's for any woods or track rider!

Works but its just an on off switch

Yolanda in CA – Machine this part was bought for: 2013 KTM 250 SX

Comments On Nov 09, 2015:Under your tank you unplug the white connector to change your ignition to milder curve. Plug it back in and you have the factory default more aggressive ignition curve. All this $80 switch does is let you flip a simple on off switch to accomplish the same thing. It is convenient... but the price is ridiculous.

Works Great

Lance in Missouri – Machine this part was bought for: 2014 HUSQVARNA FE 501

Comments On Aug 11, 2015:This mapping switch works very well. Ive used the wild mode and it makes a big difference with the snappyness of the throttle. It also makes my bike rev quicker. I could feel the difference, its well worth the money. I like how this switch looks factory also.

Definitely works well, but too expensive

leo in CA – Machine this part was bought for: 2012 HUSABERG TE 250

Comments On Jan 06, 2015:The switch is very hard to move, but works well. It's way too expensive though. My stock one the top part of the switch popped off after a few years (only used the switch a handful of times), and to have to spend this much to replace it sucks. But it works, and looks nice.+

Easy re-mapping for changing conditions.

Richard in WA – Machine this part was bought for: 2013 KTM 250 XC-W (E-Start)

Comments On Dec 22, 2014:I put this on so I could re-map my bike with the flip of a switch. Now I can change the mapping instantly. I usually run it in the WILD mode but once in a while, I need to tame it down a bit to help hold that rear tire from spinning so easily and this makes it happen. You will notice a big difference from Mild to Wild. Don't use it much but when I need it it's there.

Easy access to you KTM's engine maps.

Rui in NH – Machine this part was bought for: 2013 KTM 250 SX

Comments On Jul 05, 2013:The KTM ignition map switch is a nice and easy way to access you bikes pre programed engine maps. I first used it as a safe way to brake in my engine by running map #2 which is a more tame engine curve. After the brake in period I started to try both maps on the different track I've been running on. Some people say that they don't notice the difference between the maps. But I can feel them very clearly! This is a great product. I only wish that this came equipped on the KTM's from factory cause its alittle pricey.
